Interviewing Skills

Topic: School Uniforms

To find out more information about this topic, I would have to interview the students around the school. Some good questions to ask would be asking how they feel about this change and if they're for it or against it.

1.
-Teachers (anyone around school)
-Websites (school websites)
-Students (pretty much everyone)

2.
-How do you feel about uniforms for our school?
-Would you be for it or against it?
-Would it make our school better?
-Do you think it'll give students some sort of 'equality' for everyone?
-What suggestions would you have for an adequate uniform?
-Do you believe it'll make students any better?
-Why or why not?
-Will parents be pleased with this idea?
-Do you think it'll make the school's reputation better?
-How do you think it'll benefit you?
-What is wrong with our school having uniforms?
-What would you do if we had some?
-If we provided them for free, would you still be against it?
-Should teachers also have a uniform?
-What would you say if the rest of the schools in this state had uniforms?
-What other changes would you like to offer if we had to have uniforms? (such as no more phone-take-ups, etc)
-How could we make you change your mind about this?
-What if we let you design the uniforms?
-Will it make any difference?
-About how much money would you be willing to put into uniforms?

Japanese Earthquake

When I saw this picture, the first words to come out of my mouth were, "Oh my God.." It's very tragic and heart-breaking and it's sad to know that you can't really do anything to help these people that are facing something very crucial and catastrophic. The angle from this picture makes the ship/boat look very big and crates like a scary feeling to show how huge it is next to the houses and how big this earthquake was.

Like the lady up here, I also feel sad that I personally can't do anything to help these helpless, homeless, needy people. I think of the like kids in danger that probably have no where to sleep, nothing to eat, maybe sick. The photographer focuses mainly on this lady, sort of creating the cropping rule of photography.

I was speechless when I saw this photograph. I think you would be, too. This photo caught my attention because it shows the true powers of nature and how it shows no pity for anything in its way. This was a city before it was completely erased. The photographer used the viewpoint rule in this shot. Good scenery.

Touching People

1. I think this is a kind of cool and random project. It something unusual, but in some pictures the people like kind of insecure or afraid to get near each other. Like they're smiling, but you can tell that they don't know each other. But its pretty cool besides that.

2. If someone approached me with a camera and asked to participate in a photo shoot, I would probably do it, maybe, if I was dressed up or decent looking. About touching a stranger? Hmm, I guess it also depends. If he/she looks "safe" (like not a serial killer or pedophile) I would most likely do it.

3.  I think a cool photoshoot would be that people make funny facial expressions. Like one person does a face and then the other one reacts to it.

4. The photographer didn't really use any of the rules of photography. All of his pictures are taken from a front-view shot. No viewpoint pictures, neither from the side or different angles. They were all the same.

Cool Advertising Idea

I just had to pick this image because I think Paris is beautiful, with the amazing Eiffel Tower in this picture, it caught my attention. I don't actually like the phone shown here, but the rest of the photograph was catchy. I personally have AT&T; but if I didn't, I believe I would switch to it. With these creative advertisements, it like makes AT&T's reputation pretty spontaneous, like it makes customers imagine that the company and the services might be very creative and random. Very eye-catchy.
