Cover types:
1. Early Magazine Covers
2. The Post Cover
3. Pictures Married to Type
4. In The Forest of Words
Early magazine covers always had drawings on them. They were usually very simple and they often had kind of a moral theme to them.
In the forest of words, there should be a lot of wording on the cover. Some bold words that are eye-catching and some aren't. Many different colors, fonts, sizes. Lots of points of entry/entry points; there's lots of ways to get you to buy the magazine. The words dominate the impact of the picture. Sometimes, there's too much stuff going on.
In pictures married to type, they compliment each other (the words and the picture). Tells you what's going on in the photo and what you expect to see inside the magazine. Some people may find this boring. Less points of entry mean less buyers. Boring colors, pictures, words. Should be appealing to the eye. The use of color makes a big deal in this.
In the poster cover, it's a really big picture that almost covers the whole thing; very small set of words, that absolutely only have to do with that topic. The pictures tend to be more visually appealing. Can be boring. Hard to know what's going to be inside the magazine. If the picture is not awesome, people are not going to pick up the magazine.

Magazine cover and catch up
1. Make the cover pop out from its background.
2. Arouse curiosity.
2. Arouse curiosity.
3.Lots and lots of coverlines.
4. Your cover needs to be intellectually stimulating.
5. Make it your own, UNIQUE!
Portrait and self-portrait tips and ideas
1. Have fun with it. Be sexy. Be yourself. Be awesome. Be different. Be creative. Whatever you do, have fun with it. That is the point.
2. Use a mirror. How to use mirrors is important, too. Take it down from a wall and experiment with it.
3. If you’ve got a remote trigger, that’s usually better and more controllable than trying to use a self-timer.
I liked this picture because they are a cute couple, just looking into each others eyes and they look happy. I like that the photo was taken at where its just focusing on them two.

I chose this photograph because it looked so unique, like the angle from where it's taken from is something you don't usually see in most common pictures. I like the couch-looking-chair because it's red and it looks fancy (:
This picture caught my attention because I like her hair and the position she's taking. I chose it because it seems cool, just showing one eye.
Now, this picture I like because I love high heels. I have some that almost look like this, quite different though. I chose it because of the different angles of the heels; it's really eye-catching.
I like this picture because its in a pretty casual pose, like its not all fancy or photoshoped or anything, but it still looks cute. The couple looks happy and it gave me that "aww" feeling, so I chose it. (:
This picture caught my attention because it reminded me of my little sister. I don't know, but sometimes I like little kids, when they look all cute and innocent like this.
I'm going to try to take pictures of some people I don't know, some that I do. No one in specific. But sometimes random people don't want their picture taken because they don't know you : /
I plan on taking the pictures at different angles, from a viewpoint, directly at the face or a side view. I don't actually have something in mind, it'll just happen. Hope it comes out good!

Welcome Back (:
I liked this picture because it got my attention. All the colors are very eye-catchy and sort of make like an illumination-scene. I can kind of see the rule of balance here, by the way the buildings are all proportioned and scattered over the place.
This photograph has two things that I liked. One side of the room has a bubbly, exotic, pacific view on the wall and floor. But then you can see how it sort of "discolors" away when it gets to the other side of the wall. Then you can see how in the other room, it has nothing to do with this previous room. All the colors are dull and boring.
This picture can sort of make you feel some emotion when you look at it. I get kind of sad to think that I have all these comforts in my life and in other countries they don't or can't have any of these things. This shows that we need to try to help other countries and try to make a difference in 2011.
I don't really have a favorite anything, but one of the songs that I really "digged" was Wiz Khalifa's single 'Black and Yellow'. I loved that song and I had some of Wiz's songs already, but with this song, I started listening to him a lot, all his mix-tapes, everything.
I'd have to say that one of the best movies in 2010 would have to be Toy Story 3. I saw it when it first came out at the movies and I liked it. It was pretty funny and sad at times. Not the movie I was expecting to go see, but I don't regret it.
One of the important news stories back in 2010 was the earthquake disaster in Haiti. I didn't really knew much about it, but from what I heard, it was bad.
Kanye West was one of the most important people in the year of 2010. West hijacked Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for Best Female Video, snatching the microphone out of her hand and declaring that the title should have gone to Beyoncé rather than to Swift. It's said that reactions to the incident were heard everywhere from E! News to the White House, where President Obama dismissed him as a "jackass," earning West an unofficial award for biggest gaffe.
Chris Brown broke down in tears during a Michael Jackson tribute at the BET Awards as he performed a Michael Jackson tribute. The song that provoked the breakdown was "Man in the Mirror." The media coverage was mostly disdainful, with reporters speculating that this was a an act to get sympathy and restart his career.
1. Something that I will probably remember the rest of my life is when I dropped my phone in the water on New Year's Eve. Man, I was devastated. I said to myself "way to start the new year" -_- But then when we got home, I took it all apart and just left it on the table and I tried it the next morning and it worked :)
2. One of my resolutions this year is to try to do even better on all my classes, try harder than usual, since it's the year that determines if I'm going to pass to the next grade.
3. What I look forward to this year is my birthday, because I'm going to be 18 :) and I look forward to this summer to do lots of things we got planned.
